I waited all day
Just for the return
Of those who left the tribe
My parents in the lead
We live by gathering firewood
Honey and wax from trees
In a jungle far away
Where tigers reign fearlessly
Waiting all day
A piece of bread for my stomach
A hug of relief for my mind
Darkness set in
All returned back from the jungle
I searched for my parents
All in despair
The look of pity from others..
I am still waiting for them.

I don't want to be bias but I think this is the best poem in the contest. Cheers
